don’t look at the moon tonight (eat the flowers)
2016
installation at Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Atlanta GA

don’t look at the moon tonight (eat the flowers) serves as a poem for memory       Memory as past happenings, boundaryless culminations, what could have been but was just missed,            vacancies, preparations to no end

Memories that are the most demanding of attention are often the most tender and difficult to look at straight on, so instead, are carried at heart-side. They are quietly teaching us of patience. Teaching us to eat the flowers.

In this installation, hints of personal memories are strung through 2D and 3D elements, allowing for portalism. There isn’t a home for a memory to settle here.
                                                                                     It will only keep moving.
